Legal Question in Health Care Law in Florida
Unauthorized lab test/ by Dr.
I have been seeing my family doctor for more than two years.
I have a back injury and have been prescribed pain medication for this reason.
Through-out the years we have been checking lab work for my liver counts and cholesterol.
On my last visit I was asked to give urine to make sure my kidneys were functioning properly, I assumed she was looking out for my best interests as always.
I recieved a bill for the lab comp. and found out she had done a complete drug panel with my urine. I was shocked! All tested were neg.
Does she have the right to do this without my concent?
