Legal Question in Immigration Law in Florida

I am an Italian citizen and I'm currently working in the States with my E2 visa. I'll get married in few months to a US citizen and I would like to know which forms I will have to fill and what is the procedure to follow.

Thanks

When you are married to a US citizen, you will be eligible to apply for "adjustment of status" with the USCIS/DHS.

Two main petitions are the USCIS forms I-130 and I-485. There are many other supporting forms and documents that are submitted together.

Total filing fee paid to USCIS is $1,365.

If you'd require assistance with this matter in the future, please let me know.

There is a myriad of forms and supporting documents that your wife (petitioner) would need to file on your behalf. The basic forms are I-130 and I-485. I would advise to hire a qualified immigration attorney to help you with your case. You may call us for a further consultation of this matter.

There are other forms in addition to the I-130 and I-485 (which are described in either the instructions to these forms or on the USCIS website). However, I would caution against filing and preparing the forms yourself. If you would like to see an attorney locally, please contact me for more information.
