marry in one state and petition for spouse in another

can I marry in one state and petition for my wife in the state we will be living. I want to get marry in new york, but petition in Florida because that where my wife and I will live.

Thats my permanent address.

The immedaite relative petition and adjustment of status application should refle where the marital residence is located--not where the marriage took place.
