Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Florida

My mom is filing for emancipation tommorrow. I understand and meet all the requirments for the Florida law and I know that I can show them I am very mature and capable of taking care of myself. The only thing is that I have just recently got a job and if it mattered the time of employment, I have had two jobs in the past. Also, I have been dating someone who is over the age of eightteen for the past 2 years, and would it make a differnece if I mentioned that me and him would be living together, which would make financial issues easier. We live with my mother now and he pays part of rent and half the cable and internet. Do you think that makes a difference? I am not dong this for me and my boyfriend. I am doing this because I have priorities that I need to get done that takes my mothers permission, I cant get her to make appointments for me or even go to the appointments, which a doctor will not see me without her because I am a minor. Living with her is miserable. I turn 18 july 28th. My parents(stepdad since i was 3) split up this past year and my stepdad and little brother moved to nevada. My mother is being selfish and I believe that I should be getting the things I need done. I feel if I was capable of doing these things by myself they would get done. And if she doesn't file whats the first step for me too?Do I have to go up there or write a letter?

Thanks so much,

Kylie

If she doesn't file, then it can't be done. The law requires a parent to file.
