The entire process takes too long to describe here. However, you should know two things (because these two things may stop you): 1) you have to be self-supporting and living on your own already and 2) you have to have your parents' permission.

This last one usually hangs people. If you have these two, though, speak to a lawyer or visit your local law library to find out what you need to file and how to file it.
