employer will not pay wages

I was not paid for 5weeks that I worked totaling about 2400.00 dollars what can I do to get this money. The unpaid time was the month of Dec 2008 and the first week of Jan 2009 any help would be grateful thank you.

You may have a claim for a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act, or the Florida wage an hour statute.

You could bring a small claims lawsuit, you would even be entitled to recover attorneys fees expended toi bring the suit.
