Can I legally be fired from my job for failing a drug screening test from taking a legally doctor prescribed medication?

You can be fired for no reason or any reason, so long as the reason is not illegal. If you are on doctor prescribed meds, you should have disclosed that upon taking the test (there is a blank for that on the test-- don't have to study for it-- just disclose). Again, the employer can fire you for no reason at all.
