Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was terminated from my job while seeking medical help for a condition that was keeping me from working beyond the 12 week FMLA time frame. It would only have been a couple weeks beyond. A co-worker (in the same dept) who was out 15 weeks also for a medical condition around the same time I was out was not fired, but allowed the time off and was able to return. Do I have any legal recourse?
