Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Unauthorized payroll deduction

Iam not sure if Iam in the right law department., but my question is this my employer has deducted money from my paycheck without me signing a payroll authorization form to do so. where can I find the laws referring to that. I have asked for my money back and they do not take me seriously. they have stopped taking the deductions, but are giving me a hard time about refunding the previous amount taken from my paycheck without consent.

Re: Unauthorized payroll deduction

While its unclear what the deduction was (amount/what it was purported to be for), the deduction probably does not violate the law unless it causes your compensation to fall below the minimum wage. Please consult with an attorney directly to determine what rights you may have to take action.
