Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Unemployment Insurance

What can I do now that FL state wants me to repay them $2,750 in unemployment insurance that is rightfully mine? I was fired from my job, the state adjudicator approved my case. Then I get a letter in the mail stating my ex employer claims 2 at fault damages due to my nglignce. We had a three way conf call with Fl state, ex employer and me. Now they claim overpayment of 2,750 and its past the appeal date but I have written proof there was no misconduct on my part. Is there anything I can do?

Re: Unemployment Insurance

If you have missed the deadline to appeal the reversal of your claim to the Florida Unemployment Appeals Commission, you might still have rights to file an appeal late if there is some legal justification for the late filing (didnt receive notice, etc).
