Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I haven't had a apartment lease for 4 years. The landlord lowered my rent so I wouldn't move. I never signed another lease. Am I entitled to my security deposit back. I gave notice and moved because the house is in foreclosure and I have a fear that the Sheriff's office would show up one day and put my things on street.

As long as you gave appropriate notice terminating your lease and you dont get a letter within the statutory time frame imposing a lien, you should be entitled to your security deposit back. Getting it may be another story.
