Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

demand notice

Recently recieved a 3 day notice to pay rent or quit. This notice was left on our door with our names address and amount due. we already new what was due and spoke with them ahead of time the rent will be paid on the fourth day. they said that they still need to give the notice. this is understandable but they left it out in the open not even in an envelope for anyone/everyone to see. at the bottom og the letter it states left at premises in absence of tenent and/or hand delivered or mailed. We were at home and they still left it on the door. I find this to be a privacy issue. Our children brought the letter in to us. Something that they needed to not see. Is there any type of a privacy issue that they should be following? such as at least putting these types of letters in envelopes?
