florida lease term

a friend of mine rented a house and wanted a two year lease. her landlord told her that it was illegal in florida to have a lease for longer than one year. currently i have a lease for a year and a half. i was wondering if this lease is null and void. thank you for your help with this situation.

No, a lease can be for any term.

NO.

You can have a 50 year lease or more if you want to.
