Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Once I am served eviction papers from the county court. How do I respond legally for a hearing. I'm following florida statute 718.116(11) with my rent payment and I believe this notice is out of retaliation. This is landlord/tenant

FS 718 had nothing to do with L&T. Retain a lawyer.

Who is suing you? The association? Have you paid them? If not, they can act under the Statute to remove you. You have no defense other than payment to them. if the owner is suing you than file notice in the eviction action that you were served with the notice from the association and you made the payment. I would suggest you hire an attorney to represent you. FS 718 is not a landlord/tenant statute but it gives the association the right to evict for non payment.
