deposition

If you are a witness in a case and have given a deposition, but now the attorney may want me to go to the hearing and give my story again, is it fair to ask for compensation for the time it would involve?

A deposition is differentthat the hearing -- which is like the trial. The law entitles you only to a small witness fee; however, you can ask about being reimbursed for whatever comepnsation you lose. You should not get "paid for testimony".
