Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

medical malpractice?

My father had a total knee replacement and 2 days later had a stroke. Around 6am my mother informed the nurses that she didnt think something was right because he couldnt lift his left arm or leg. They dismissed it at just being affects of the pain meds. She continued throughout the day to mention she thought something was wrong but it wasnt until a doctor came in around 2pm that he called in a stroke team. Now that they have confirmed he had a stroke they want to release him from the hospital to rehab 2 days earlier than planned. Just wondering if there is anything that can be done since they ignored her concerns and if diagnosed sooner, more could have been done to help him.

Re: medical malpractice?

There is no way to make such a determination without a careful review of the medical records. Obtain the relevant records and see an attorney in your area that does medical negligence. There is a two year statute of limitations. See my web site for help. www.ConsumerLawyerHelp.com
