Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Florida

I went in for a procedure 3 months ago called radio frequency(the procedure was performed by an anesthesiologist) and today a neurologist told me I had a damaged nerve and that it was caused by the procedure done on me. She said that this was a permanent damage and that I would have to be taking medicine everyday to calm the pain down a bit. I am out of work and she said I qualified for social security disability since this condition affects my ability to drive/ focus etc. Do I have a case against the anesthesiologist who performed the procedure on me? I was able to find out that this same anesthesiologist had been sued back in 2008 and had to compensate the injured person's family since the injured person died...

Today I went finally went to see the doctor who performed the procedure on me , I told him what the neurologist diagnosed me with and he denied denied denied, he said "I am the only one who can make the diagnosis like that" He tried to step all over the neurologists concrete evidence of permanent nerve damage!

Do I have a case for my injury or is he protected by doctor laws? Thank you for your attention to this matter! God bless.
