Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

Company I do not work for is using my name and credentials

Several years ago I was interviewed for a senior management position at a gym. The owner told me he was creating a national fitness brand and would keep me in mind for a corporate position when he secured financing. I was never hired by the company, but I recently discovered the company online with my name, credentials and bio. My name also appears on Google searches that lead back to this company. The company has expanded rapidly since I first met with the owner. It is now a national fitness franchise and brand and, according to their website, is about to expand globally as well as go public. According to online searches I did, the date stamps show they have been using my bio/credentials since 2005. I am still listed (as of 2009) on their corporate management team. Do I have any recourse?

Perhaps, but it would be hard to show that they are getting business because of your iunformation. Old web pages are sometimes available even after the site has changed, of course. Call and tell them to please take down the information about you. Follow up with a letter.

Yes. The issue is what damages, if any, you are entitled to.
