Permanent Injury Case?

I was involved in an accident about a year ago tripped and fell down the steps in a Law Off. This occurred because there was a phone line tapped across the platform before you go down that first step. I was their tech support (contractor 2�x a wk for 4 months at ave. of 2 hours per/day in different site location with the law firm) at the time I was carrying a PC from the second floor to the first. Tripped and stumbled down the steps (10-15 count). Laid there for about 30-45 seconds before I got up. Got. I went to the emergency room that day and they did X-Rays still having issues and they did and MRI which they have found permanent injury. I�m currently going on pain management and taking some prescription pain med. What really bugs the heck out me is that after I fell, the law firm did not move the obstacle that causes me to fall but instead tape it several times more.( happened on a Fri and was still there Mon). I have talked to local attorneys in my town and they are willing and happy to take my case until they find out who I�m trying to sue and they act like I�m deceased or sometime. They suggest that I talk to the lawfirm where I had my accident and work with them about compensation. Is this a good idea? I was supposed to j
