Legal Question in Personal Injury in Florida

If there is a settlement to be received from more than one insurance company can the attorney hold on to the money until all of the insurance company have settle. For instant my insurance company have submitted thier check and they are waiting to settle with 2 other company. They told me that I can't receive any money until they settle the whole suit even if it take 2 or 3 years.

Take a look at your contract or, if you wish, send it to me and I will look at it. What you describe would be EXTREMELY Unusual and under most contracts for representation not permitted.

Yes in most cases they can. Especially if there are outstanding liens and the first check does not cover those amounts.
