Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

My boyfriend that i currently live with is in foreclosure, and somehow my name is showing up on the court documents that have been filed as his spouse. Not married and there is no common law in our state. I'm worried that my credit might be hurt too, or that the bank might try to come after me, or that i might have some legal liability now that my name is on all these documents. I had nothing to do with the original purchase of the house, and everything between us is separate, not even a joint bank account. Also, they spelled my name wrong on the court documents!

The lender just has the wrong information, probably due to the mass filing of foreclosure actions in the state at flat rate fees. Send a letter to the Plaintiff's attorney and copy it to the Clerk of the Court. Put the case name and number on the re-line of the letter. Let them know you are not the spouse and that your name is not spelled properly. Tell them you have no ownership interest in the home and are not a party to the Mtg or Note.
