Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

Foreclosure/Credit Score

I have one home in foreclosure and am thinking about letting my second home foreclose. I am getting married in June and my fiance has perfect credit. I had perfect credit before this foreclosure. How will this impact his score once we are married? Should I let the 2nd go into foreclosure before we get married?

Re: Foreclosure/Credit Score

His score should not be affected at all if he is not on either loan. It is irrelevant whether you are married.

Re: Foreclosure/Credit Score

The first foreclosure ruined your credit, and will adversely affect your wife's, once she marries you. It might be 'less' damaging to her if the second foreclosure is done before marriage, but not much. There are consequences, intended or not, of all our actions.
