land ownership

my husbands father recently passed away left no will to our knowledge. his family has quite a bit of land but when his fathers mother give it to him he later added his wifes name to the deeds also she is not the mother to my husband. what legal right does my husband and his siblings have to this family land? does she have the right to sell it or give it to her children if it was my husbands families land?

Your husband needs to consult a probate attorney to advise him thoroughly on his options. It is possible that he and his siblings have a claim to part of the Estate.
