empty estate

I am the personal representative of an estate with nothing in it. do I have to have it probated ?

is ok for me to just do nothing ?

Nothing to probate? Then no probate required.

A Will may nominate you to act as personal representative. However, no one is a personal representative until the court appoints them to that position. Being named PR in the Will does not require you to take any action. If there are no assets, then taking no action is both the best and easiest course of action.
