Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

A friend made a loan to me and my company. I signed the agrement between my friend and my company explaining the repayment. He never signed and returned it to me and as I asked him about it he said not to worry about it. And a few months later he died.

Now his daughter is calling me asking about it and as I tell her she is asking if I am going to repay it.

Am I legally bound to repay it?

No way to answer that without seeing the "agreement". Not sure why he would have to sign it, a promissory note would only be signed by the person who is borrowing the funds, meaning you and your company. Thus the "agreement" may be a valid promissory note signed by you, and it may not be.
