Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

I know a girl that she is addicted to drugs and arrested about 6 times. Last time, she was in the jail, she called me that she wanted to quit and need help from me. Thus I really like to help her to return to her normal life and her daughter and leave the bad area. She called me every day for about 20 days to assure she would do that. During this time I sent for her about $900 for food, calling, ticket and transfer money to use it to go to airport. When she got out, she never calls me and she went back to the bad area and bought drugs by my money. She did not ask me to cancel the ticket to refund the money.

So can I sue her because she trapped me and did not do what she promised me? The depression she caused to me because now more than a month i just thinking about the situation and i feel to descripe myself like naive, stupid, which makes me not sleep well.

Unless you have a written promise to pay from her, or witnesses to her promise, or

she admits it, you have no case. It appears that you were empathetic in your action

but collection is a challenge.

YOu can certainly file a small claims action against her and probably will get a judgment. The question is, will you ever get your funds. I suggest you write her off. Secondly, if her daughter is in danger, then certainly by all means contact child protective services.
