Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

My husband passed unexpectedly. In the will it has my name (wife) incorrectly spelt. Does this make the will invalid?

No. It may be necessary to take some corrective steps, but this does happen once in awhile.

The more important question is whether you need to probate the Will. That will depend upon how he held his assets, and those assets with you. If probate is not needed, then the spelling in the Will will not make any difference.

No. So long as it identifies you as his wife a misspelling shouldn't make a difference. Presumably he only had one wife and that is you.
