How long should an estate take to finish in Alachua county Florida? What could someone do to a lawyer who has malingered on this estate?

I don't think there is any way to estimate without knowing how complex the estate and probate proceedings are.

Ms. Grosse is correct. You should stay in contact with the lawyer too. If you are a beneficiary you are entitled to know the status of the case. You don't say how long this started but it can several months even for "easy" estates. Good luck.
