Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Florida

No will, limited assets

My mother, a resident of Florida, recently passed without a will. She was a widow. She named beneficiaries on all her limited accounts except for stock with a value of $4,000. Us four daughters agree to equally split the stock. How do we do that? The stock holding company said we needed a medallion signature. The bank will not give it without legal proof entitling me to sign. There are no other assets.

Re: No will, limited assets

You will need to file a summary probate proceeding for this small estate in the county where your mother lived.
