If you are totally disabled due to an on the job injury, you need an attorney to help you with your ongoing workers compensation case. Permanent and total disability claims implicate a number of different approaches for the injured worker and one size doesn't fit all. You can continue receiving benefits or you can possibly settle past and future claims. You're right to be scared because you can't evaluate your options safely without the help of a legal team to evaluate your options. An attorney can also help you coordinate social security disability benefits and workers compensation benefits and analyze the potential civil liability of third parties which could provide another source compensation.
