Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Georgia

Single mother help

My friend is a single mother of two. Her ex has never paid child support and is about to go to jail. She is struggling financially and her bills exceed her paycheck. A credit card company is pursuing a suit against her. She does not qualify for WIC or any other goverment assisstant programs. Is there any hope that she can reason with the credit card company without filing bankrupcy. Will she be able to request legal cousel in a case like this?

Re: Single mother help

Once there is a suit, time becomes critical, and there rarely is enough time to negotiate. Your friend should see a bankruptcy lawyer immediately to discuss her options. She can call us if she wishes to get more information.
