Legal Question in Business Law in Georgia

Candy Business

I am officially legalizing my confections business (cakes, brownies etc.) for the purposes of doing business online. The business will be soley operated by myself. I'm having a hard time deciding if I should incorporate or become a LLC. I definitely want to protect my personal assets. Which is better in your legal opinion? Oh and also, I'm renting kitchen space to process orders. Should I use that address to set up the business structure or my home address? Please advise. Thanks!!

Re: Candy Business

The LLC would probably be better. However, you need to consider the tax ramifications of whatever you do. Run the idea by your tax adviser.

Re: Candy Business

While it would be best to fully discuss your needs and plans for the business, it is likely that an LLC would be a better fit. It is easy to set up and maintain, and is often more attractive to very small businesses.
