Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

I had a friend or so called asked me to move in with her. i moved me and my 10 month old baby into her apartment. a month later I went out of state for family issues. on the 30st of the month she kept texting me about the rent for the next month. I wired my portion of the rent to her on the 3rd. she put all of our things out into the patio storage unit before I sent the money....now she keeps asking me when am i coming to get my things. i feel as if i have paid for my month but she removed my things out of the room. what can be done about my money and our belongings?

You may have clam against her for wrongful eviction.

You should write an inventory of all items you believe she destroyed or took. If you have receipts, ptictures, etc., use that as evidence.

Also, if you wired the money, you should have a receipt or some evidence of that transaction.

This can also be used as evidence.

Demand payment of all items. Thereafter, sue her for the value of the items, the return of the money, and wrongful eviction.
