Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

I have been on my job working in public safety for the state for almost five years. Everything with my job was going fine. I have never had any write ups or attendance problems. However my boss found out I am a Satanist and told me he does not want devil worshippers working for him, he has told me he wants me to quit and if not he will eventually find a reason to fire me even if I am five minutes late for work. I have a family to support and I should not have to live with the fear of losing my job over my religion. My beliefs do not effect my job at all and I thought in America you had freedom of religion. Is it not agaisnt the law for him to do this and if he fires me can I sue. This is flat out descrimination and I want justice. I do not judge him for being a Christian so why should he get away with what he is doing to me and my family. I need legal help bad. Keep in mind I work for the state and if he fires me it will be extremly hard to find another job. The harrassing has been going on since May 2011
