Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

First and Middle name change

I recently got married. I need to add few letters at the end of my maidan first name. I also would like to use my husband's name as my middle name and not my Dad's. I got everything changed except my driver's license and passport. I sent the DS-19 form to Passport co. I am not sure if they will change it. Also, when I went to Georgia Driver's licence office they mentioned they would change my last name but not my first and middle. They need a copy of my passport with the new name or they need a court decree for changing my first and middle initial and won't let me use my new name even though its been changed on my Social Security card, banks, job and other places. Please let me know what can I do to get this changed and the cost and time involved.

Thanks!

Re: First and Middle name change

You need to legally change your name with the superior court of the county in which you reside. The cost is $1500 plus filing fees.
