Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

I had an auto accident in '99 and my insurance company failed to cover so i got sewed. The law firm served someone at an address i was not leaving at and therefore passing a judgement of $67,000 and suspending my license. I was unaware of all this until i tried to change address on license. This cost me the two jobs i was working at the time. They vacated the judgement in '07 because they had never served me. Then in '09 they reopened the same case and sent me a letter informing me i would receive a court date on a later date. I did not and once again they got a judge to sign off on it, and suspend my license unless i pay 125.00 a month. Is all this legal? And is there anything I can do about it other than file for bankruptcy?

A lawyer would have properly handled this from the beginning. See one now to try to fix the mess of not handing it properly.
