Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Entering Auto

My boyfriend recieved a letter from Fulton Co. Superior Ct. stating he needs to appear for plea and arraignment hearing on entering an auto. Can someone please let us know what this charge is exactly and what we can expect time wise if he is found guilty. We do not have the money to hire legal help and many things have changed since this has happened. We have been together for 4 years and this took place prior. We have since had a child with lung problems who had to have surgery and another we just lost July 13 due to a heart defect. He has changed alot since the time this took place. Will the court take these things into consideration? Any help you can give is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Entering Auto

Without knowing your boyfriends criminal record, I am reluctant to comment. Also, I am interested in what has taken so long to get this case to court? Your boyfriend may have some very important legal issues to address, before thinking about entering a plea. In other words, he may never have to.

If he can't afford counsel, he needs to at least apply for a public defender right now.
