Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Public Defender Services

I was arrested on a simple battery charge. I was appointed a public defender at my bond hearing and was able to sign my own bond to get out of jail. I have been ordered to take 12 anger management courses and was told that upon completion of these, the charges would be dropped from my record. My question is...when I go back to court, will the public defender still be representing me and will I owe him any money? Also, when the courts say that something will be dismissed from your record, does that mean totally dismissed? Thanks..

Re: Public Defender Services

You should contact the Public Defen.'s office. They should be able to help you. If not, you should consider retaining an attorney.

Best of luck. PAS
