Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Simple Battery

5 years ago I got into some trouble where I was charged with Simple Battery . I was assigned to a Court appointed Lawyer and I don't feel like she represented the case well, The victim wanted to drop the charge, the attorney was aware of this . She told the judge this and the judge told her that she know that charges could not be drop in his court room. The attorney said she did not know this and told the judge to go ahead with the case . I pleaded guity. The Attorney is now Disbar Is there any way I can have this remove from my record

Re: Simple Battery

Surprisingly most Courts take the position that once a warrant has issued against a defendant charging him with an act of violence toward another, particularly if there is a relationship involved, the victim may not be able to simply drop the charges because the parties have reconciled their difficulties.

I can't tell from these facts if that is the case in your situation, and it does not necessarily follow that because the former attorney has now been disbarred, that everything she did while admitted was improper.

I need to know much more than what you have provided.
