Legal Question in DUI Law in Georgia

Dui

I was arreseted for my first DUI offense on 12/22/07. I was in the possesion of under a gram of marijuana, and a legal firearm. Im concerned about losing my license for a year, because I need to drive for work, and without my license I would not be able to work. I am aware of this penalty, and the other first time DUI penalties in Georgia. My question is, is there any chance of avoiding the more serious penalties of jail time, and license suspenion?

Thank you.

Re: Dui

Not only are you facing a license suspension for the DUI, but any drug offense conviction also results in a license suspension. There are ways to avoid losing your drivers license or to obtain a work driving permit, but more information is needed. Feel free to give me a call for a free consultation.
