Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

my 13 yr. old granddaughter wants to live with me. she lives with her mother, stepfather and younger brother. she has been abused physically and mentally for years. The school doesn't care, social services doesn't care, nobody cares!! what do we need to do? social services goes there but my daughter is a very good liar so nobody believes my granddaughter!! what and how? She lives in north georgia and I live in Chattanooga, tn. which is right on the Ga. Tn. state line.

It is unusual for grandparents to be able to get custody from a parent. Unless you can persuade DFCS to assist, it is not likely to happen. You also need a good lawyer.
