Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I am in a bad predicament right now. I live with my grandmother and she has custody of me. She wants me to go to a college that's in the state of Georgia (Kennesaw State University), which is where I currently live; however, I want to move back to Connecticut, where I lived for most of my life, and go to a college there while living with my mom. I haven't told my grandmother that I want to do this yet because I really don't want her to get mad and yell at me. Is it legal for me to choose the college that I want to go to, even if my guardian doesn't support my decision?

P.S.- If I move to Connecticut to go to college, my grandmother will not have to pay one dime for my tuition.

You need to get a local attorney to review the custody papers to see how much control your grandmother has. It may be necessary to go back to the judge who signed the custody order and seek clarification.
