Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

My daughter is 2 months old and her dad hasn't done anything for her yet. He says he's put in job applications but I don't believe it since he said he still smokes pot and gets drunk. Everyone in his family is an alcoholic and pot smoker or pill head and none have a job except his cousin. What really makes me mad is he expects me to take her to him every time. He says he shouldn't have to come see her that he doesn't want to sit at my parents house and that I need to bring her to him. He lives in a trailer with 4 other people and he wants to try to get her every weekend. I don't want her around pot/pills/ and alcohol and sleeping on the couch. He's threatening me with court. And is it possible to get child support without him being able to see her or get her a certain time supervised?

Until and unless he legitimizes the child and gets a visitation order, he has no right to see the child. But you havbe a right to get child support.

Either go to the magistrate court and swear out an abandonment warrant and have him arrested for nonsupport to push him that way, or go to the state child support office and let them sue him for you.

Stop listening to his threats. He's the one that may go to jail. (If he does file a legitimization, he'll also be ordered to pay support, and if he does that, get a lawyer).
