Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

i have a grandson who lives in Baltimore Maryland with his mother and my son is currently in jail and she let me have him for a couple of weeks and he is telling me things that gives me concern for his safety and his well being. My question is what if anything i can do as a grand parent to make sure that he is safe.
