Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

Thanks guys,

for your response.

I am still not clear on the time line.

"You are hereby summoned and required to file with the Clerk of circuit court and attorney whose name and address below,

an answer to the complaint which is herewith served upon you within 30 days after service of this and this upon you exclusive of the Day of Service if you fail to do so judgement by default will be taken against you for the relief the man in the complaint".

So dose my time start on the 4th of April when he filled it, or from the 11th when I was served with it. 30 days from witch day to I start my count from?

Typically it would 30 days from 04/11/2014 and your answer would be due on 05/11/2014; however, since 05/11/2014 falls on a Sunday, you have until close of business in the clerk's office on 05/12/2014 to file your answer with the clerk of court Make sure you bring at least 3 extra copies and have the clerk file stamp all your copies (1 copy to serve on Plaintiff's attorney and 2 copies for yourself)
