If my husband left me and went to Kentucky and left his 2 children behind and hasn't supported them at all! Could he return to Georgia and just take them from me?

Unfortunately, if there is no custody order in place, bot parents have equal rights to the children. However, once you file for a divorce, the court would not look favorably on this behavior. You need to speak to an attorney immediately. Trying to find out how to deal with a major issue like this should not be dealt with on an on-line posting.

With no court order in place, yes he can. If you file for divorce in many counties, and you want to get a lawyer to do that, many counties have a standing order that would ban the children from being removed from the jurisdiction. So the answer is: see a lawyer ASAP.
