Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

I have legal guardianship of my great nephew which I obtained while his mother was incarcerated she has since been released and was living in my house until she decided it was misreable for her.she is still very young and unemployed and has no means of support for the child. Is it possible for me to obtain full custody? and what are my rights as guardian will she be able to come take him from me at any time?

It is possible to obtain full custody, but the law favors the child being with the biological parent. It will be an uphill battle. I can't tell you your chances of success without knowing a lot more details about your case. I also can't tell you what your rights are as guardian now that she has been released, because I don't have access to the order granting guardianship. I STRONGLY recommend that you take that order, and any other documents related to you obtaining legal custody, and go see a family law attorney immediately.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
