lowering child support payments

I have just been laid off of my job, and looking to lower my payments. Need to know what I need to do to begin this, because I can't afford to keep paying what I am paying now

you need to file for a modification of child supprt asap and that will reduce payments

You can seek a downward modification of child support; however, don't try it yourself. Consult with a local attorney.
