It is unlikely you could be "forced" to go. I suspect you are asking whether they could take adverse action if you did not go. The answer is - maybe. More facts would be required, including the reasons you did not go, the reasons for their actions, etc. Georgia is "at will" employment and absent a contract, you can be fired for any or no reason. An exception MAY apply to actions taken for one's religious beliefs.
