Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

My dad is trying to scrap/junk my car which is parked at our house. It is an older model car (1979) which I have been working to get in running shape for a little over a year but have recently run into money problems. He keeps trying to get me to sale it to give him money but I want the car, so he is threatening to have it towed and junked because it's on his property and only give me $500 which is the amount that the wrecker would pay, and honestly he might not even give me that. I have brand new parts including a newly built engine that I've worked on myself in this car (totaling almost $3,000 in value) and to have it scrap would be a total loss in money and time. I have my doubts that he has the right to scrap it solely on the bases that it's his property seeing as i have been a resident here all my life and have paid rent even until recently. I'm going into the navy and I want to make sure that when I return I won't have merely dust where there was a car and my money. If u could please help me figure this situation out and explain if he has the right to do this.

There is nothing to "figure out." He does not want inoperable junk cars on his property. There is your answer.

You could spend a fortune that you apparently don't have for legal fees to debate this, and ultimately see the car towed. (Many cities and counties have junked car ordinances so you may also be in violation of criminal laws). Or you could go to the local U-Haul storage place, some of which have car sized units, or a local car repair shop and pay them to store the car. If you leave it there and he doesn't want it there, and it's his home, leave it there and he will probably get it towed.
